Within the process of learning the software, it was much easier than expected. Many of the icons and tools speak for themselves and are easy and evident to figure out what they do. This made the process of learning the software much easier and efficient for me. Same goes for the rest of software. Learning Adobe Premiere Pro let me put my creativity to test to in order to create clip to fill certain standards.
When creating this clip, I made sure to tick every box. I included multiple clips of b-roll with voiceover, as well as clips that simply capture the atmosphere. To add on, I also ensured I included two interviews. My experience creating this clip was fun. I was able to let my creativity roam in order to reach a goal, and using the software isn't so difficult, which let the process of creating the clip be fun.
One challenge I had was figuring out how to overlap the voiceover from the interview onto the b-roll clip when I began creating the clip. Once i figured it out, it became very easy to use and I quickly got used to it. In addition, a success i had was being able to structure the clip how I liked, beginning with a normal everyday clip of an order into the interview of the manager. This let me give off the sequence of setting then explanation. What I learned during the process of creating this clip is how to effectively use certain clips and make them work together in order to make a film or clip feel more appealing and attention catching. This can be said because i had to figure out how to implement the interviews and the b-roll together which took some thinking, but once i executed it, the product came out how I expected.
With this, what I learned will be put to use in many of the future projects on premiere pro and i will be able to improve and perfect them over time. To add on, my creativity can also expand with constant use of this software, which is not beneficial only for Media Studies, but other classes and projects as well.
This can help me with my portfolio project by adding onto my list of works, as well as documenting my process and thoughts throughout my different experiences in different parts of studying and creating various types of media.
